My guest is the author of Ten Easy Wins for Easier Fat Loss. Alex Feinberg is a former Sales Rep & Business Analyst at Google. He now works as the Director of Business Development at a cyptocurrency exchange. But says his true passion is helping others to achieve their health goals.

Alex (@sustaingluttony) is a strong advocate for health & wellness. At just 34 years old, he’s written three books, which endorse his diet manifesto & recipes. His books have sold in 25 countries around the world.

In this episode, Alex talks about his days as a Vanderbilt University baseball player. He believes playing baseball at Vandy helped him tremendously later in life. For example, the stresses of performing in front of 5,000-10,000 fans on SEC weekends is an experience many of his colleagues haven’t had.

Alex discusses how being in good shape is an advantage in the real world. He says people in good shape are almost always going to get preferred at work—something he first noticed at Google—they weren’t hiring overweight people.

“You’re likely to get hired if your body conveys that you have the ability to discipline yourself and keep a consistent work schedule,” Alex says. He also talks about eating right. And reveals the diet framework that works for him and how it’s opened up many opportunities.

This conversation was everything I anticipated it would be.

Other topics discussed:
  • Steroids in baseball in 2000s
  • James Damore controversy at Google
  • Systemic impoverishment of the American middle class
  • “Fake News” and where it all started

  • How to train your palate [in order to eat less]
  • Switching from alcohol to edibles (cannabis)
  • Alex’s savings rate at Google
  • Heading to South America if US slides into violence
  • Bitcoin & other crypto assets
Questions asked:
  • Is there any sort of finagling that happens at Vanderbilt to try to get better athletes to the school?
  • Do you have a favorite memory from playing college baseball?
  • Were you working at Google when the James Damore controversy happened?
  • Is it only “fake news” when it goes against the desires of an intelligence agency?
  • As we get closer to the November election, will the media release info that would hurt Biden’s campaign?

  • [Staying in shape] Do you think you have an advantage being a former athlete?

Arsenio Hall, Brain Reframes, SPLC

I start this episode exploring Scott Adams’ book Reframe Your Brain. I share highlights like transforming fear of embarrassment into a tool for learning, viewing problems as puzzles, and using positive reframes to handle mistakes and criticism. Adams also emphasizes stress management through environment, fitness, and focusing on what you can control. Then I talk

False Prophet, Evil Dictators, Eric Swalwell, Trump v Pope, Household Net Worth

I start this episode diving into The False Prophet documentary, a four-part Netflix series that exposes a self-proclaimed prophet. The show highlights how he was able to manipulate idiots who surrendered their wives and daughters to this creep. It’s hard to believe. But worth a watch if you’re into true crime and/or cult stories. Then
