European Cities, Optimal Experience, My Epstein Theory

In this episode, I check in from Gdańsk, a city in northern Poland on the Baltic coast. I talk about what it’s been like exploring this part of the world—how Gdańsk surprised me with its charm, walkability, and its history. World War II started here. And unlike Kraków or Warsaw, it has beaches! And fewer tourists.

I also talk about something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately: optimal experience and how we use our time.

From Estonia’s efficiency to my own efforts to build better focus in Poland, I get into why flow state matters—especially in a world full of distractions.

This one’s part travel journal, part reminder to slow down and use time like it counts. Because it does.

There’s investing talk too. And a bit on strip clubs and some Epstein theories.

Topics discussed:
  • Surprising charm of Gdańsk’s Old Town
  • Kraków’s tourist appeal vs. Gdańsk’s authenticity
  • Warsaw’s modern rebuild after WWII
  • Poland’s public transportation system & walkability
  • How Gdańsk helped spark the fall of communism
  • Visiting the Solidarity museum
  • America’s current decline and political climate
  • Trump’s approach to global threats & foreign policy decisions during his term
  • Estonia’s governance & respect for time
  • Efforts to prioritize reading & long-term thinking
  • Entering flow state through focused routines & removing distractions
  • Flow by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi
  • Impact of social media on focus & discipline
  • Why boredom is essential for creativity
  • Rebuilding tolerance for stillness & delayed gratification
  • How Europeans spend their weekends compared to Americans
  • The role of family meals & nature in everyday life
  • Funny parenting moments with Aria
  • Navigating tantrums & travel as a single parent
  • Importance of goal setting
  • Investment ideas, including the success of nuclear energy ETFs & individual stocks like Tesla, Amazon, Netflix, etc
  • Investing in index funds & letting time do the heavy lifting
  • Whether you should invest in townhouses / condos right now
  • House hacking
  • Young people buying Bitcoin instead of houses

Mardi Gras, Mexican Cartels, Nazi Olympics

I start this episode with ‘funnies’ from the past week, then get into the Winter Olympics in Milan. How thrilling would it be to have a luge track nearby that you could use? Problem is there are only four of them in America. In this episode, I break down the differences between luge, skeleton, and

Why the Long Face?

In this episode, I share my ‘physiognomical theory of everything,’ and what could unaffectionately be referred to as “communist face.” Here I discuss facial structures, perceived softness, and why certain public figures project a collectivist energy based solely on appearance. This eventually turns into a broader conversation about leadership, optics, and testosterone (or lack thereof).
