Americans in the High Castle: A Political Analogy by an “Internet Dad”

Politics isn’t what I most enjoy writing or talking about. In fact, I rarely talked politics publicly before this last administration. But men like me, often referred to as “Internet Dads,” felt compelled to speak up as the 2024 Election approached—things had gotten that bad in America.

Plus, we knew other men wanted to say the obvious, but couldn’t, for fear of being “de-banked,” losing their jobs or businesses—which unfortunately had become a reality in the US.

In that sense, we Internet Dads were giving “a voice to the voiceless.”

Even super smart dads who’d never been “political,” with a lot more to lose than me, entered the fray: Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, David Sacks, Chamath Palihapitiya, Bill Ackman, Balaji Srinivasan, Naval Ravikant, Marc Andreesen, etc.

These hyper-productive (and hardly partisan) men began to yearn for a return to the days when it didn’t matter much who was president. Because they don’t want to be talking about politics any more than I do.

But when politics becomes reality, you don’t have the luxury of ignoring what’s happening at the highest levels of government. Fortunately for America, Internet Dads refused to self-censor as they witnessed the country they love come eerily close to full-blown totalitarianism.

For my part, I like to break things down to better understand what’s been happening. For example, in my travels, I’ve had the good fortune of touring many old castles in Europe. Learning about each castle’s history had me thinking of America and other countries as macrocosms of life in a castle.

I’ll explain.

The Castle Under Siege

Something that surprised me about castles is most of them are big enough inside for thousands of people to live. Therefore, I analogized that America had let the drawbridge down over the moat for anyone to enter the castle.

When castle-dwellers voiced their concern about the drawbridge being down, they were told by the King & his court that it was secure. To make matters worse, those who lived closest to the drawbridge inside the castle would be sued by the King’s administration to keep them from trying to close the drawbridge.

There were even groups living within the castle walls who chose to defy castle laws by giving “sanctuary” to those who entered the castle illegally. Not to mention giving them money to pay for food and shelter.

Sadly, castle residents saw their cost of living skyrocket, while money they were forced to send the King through taxation, was either used to provide provisioning for new entrants [to the castle] or sent overseas to protect a castle moat where the King & Prince had previously “worked.”

Additionally, the King’s court had ensured (in parts of the castle where they could) that you wouldn’t need to prove you were a citizen of the castle to vote for the next King.

It didn’t matter to the monarch and his supporters that an enemy castle in the East was making the precursors for a synthetic drug 50 times more potent than heroin, and 100 times more potent than morphine, then shipping it to a nearby castle to be sent over the drawbridge—resulting in the poisoning deaths of tens of thousands of (mostly male) castle residents every year.

Nor did the King’s supporters seem to care when that same Eastern castle unleashed a deadly virus. Incredibly, their King halted travel within their own castle but not to other castles, allowing the virus to spread worldwide.

Perhaps not so ironically, the King & Prince had previously “worked” in that castle too.

Suicidal Compassion

Alas, the opposition believed the King would put castle residents’ safety first when new arrivals started raping and killing the daughters of castle residents.

But they were mistaken. As a matter of fact, young girls were being raped and murdered in castles all across the West.

It’s hard to believe now, but the King campaigned on the idea that he was the epitome of empathy. Clever framing. Since his supporters had been brainwashed for years to believe their team had a monopoly on compassion and kindness.

Equally important, the King knew his loyalists’ information sources were siloed. This would ensure they’d never see the results of studies showing his supporters actually lack empathy due to their inability to imagine any reality outside their own.

Unvetted foreigners allowed in the castle only served [to the King’s supporters] as further evidence of the King’s compassion. Moreover, the King’s supporters who lived in the swankiest part of the castle because they’d gotten rich “playing pretend,” would signal their own virtue by sharing selfie-videos of themselves crying when criminal illegal entrants were sent back to their home castles. The millions of illegal entrants deported under previous Kings was somehow lost on them.

Ridiculous as all that sounds, the clever King knew his useful idiots in the castle were easily propagandized. That being so, support would continue. After all, he & his court had already tried to convince his voters their political opponent was Adolph Hitler. And it worked! Albeit not enough in the next election to keep the King in power—at least not in the American castle.

Thankfully, reasonable people in the castle realized the King and his cohort were engaging in “suicidal empathy.” Thus, those in opposition to an invasion of the castle came together.

They hired competent lawyers and poll-watchers to closely monitor the next election. Their mission was to prevent any shenanigans on Election Day, at least in parts of the castle where the race was historically close.

Rape Across the Pond

In other Western castles—where many of the American castle’s ascendants were from—Kings also left their drawbridge down so foreigners could enter.

At first, castle residents were hopeful their new arrivals would assimilate. But instead, they established little enclaves within the castle walls and formed “rape-gangs” to target young white girls—some as young as 11 years old.

Europe is belatedly discovering how unbelievably stupid it was to import millions of people from cultures that despise Western values and which often promote hatred toward the people who have let them in.” – Thomas Sowell

In one particular Western castle, residents called for the King to investigate the rape-gangs. But their pleas were ignored by the King because he feared being called “racist.”

Their monarch knew if the truth of rape-gangs was revealed it would threaten his power. So he & his allies in the castle gave the gangs a softer name, “grooming gangs,” and wouldn’t say which castle they came from, so as not to offend the rapists. The American King’s supporters called their political opponent racist when he identified which castle the virus came from. And, get this: hundreds of castle residents who complained about grooming gangs were arrested.

Western Kings were so naïve (or stupid) they either didn’t know or ignored the fact that many foreigners they allowed into the castle were strict adherents to an ancient conquering religion. A religion that teaches “groomers” from an early age that their religion will one day dominate the world.

For their part, these religious fanatics need only to gain a significant presence in their new home castle. Which they could do the easy way (by convincing the King to import more foreigners from their conquering religion) or the hard way (by reproducing more than the castle’s inhabitants).

Fairy Tale Ending / Beginning

At long last, patriotic Americans successfully elected a new King. He had promised to return the castle to commonsense immigration policies. And the new King of the Castle vowed to put its citizens’ interests first. Imagine that!

But it wasn’t easy. No, the incumbent King’s supporters, for years, had tried to convince the castle that the King’s challenger was colluding with a foreign adversary castle. But the collusion accusations were exposed as a hoax when its origins were revealed to be the creation of a former King’s wife who aspired to be the ruling Queen.

Not to be deterred, the former King’s henchmen successfully persuaded allies who were responsible for facilitating communication in the “castle square” to silence his political opponent. That may seem extreme, but not to those who had also attempted to impeach his challenger 2x, indict him 4x, and even kill him 2x.

Let us pray.

“God our Father, giver of life, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care. You are the rock on which this nation was founded. You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Reclaim this land for your glory and dwell among your people.

Send your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders. Open their minds to the great worth of human life and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Remind your people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing your will.

Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, patroness of our land, grant us the courage to reject the “culture of death.” Lead us into a new millennium of life. We ask this through Christ Our Lord.
Amen.”
